If you’ve read my Oct ‘23 ramble, I Made A Game, I
partook in a course called Game Design & Development
1. We had to make two games — one
individually and another one in a group. The output of the individual effort is
in the aforementioned ramble; the output of the group work is this page.
Four of us — Ben, David, John, and I — worked on this game for over a few
months and despite our lack of gamedev experience, I’m pretty happy how it
turned out! It’s no AAA game (those are… “not great” these days anyway), but
it’s quite fun in my very unbiased opinion.
Here are a few screenshots of the game:

Blob in the Steampunk era.
I worked as the game code architect, integration architect, (some) sprites
designer, and music maker. This post is about the music.
I downloaded the free trial version of FL
Studio and followed an excellent
YouTube
series by
In The Mix to get started. And whaddaya know — I believe that I was able to
make some pretty decent music. You can play the game to experience it yourself,
or you can play it here.

Ending Thoughts
Please play the game; it is genuinely very fun. The upgrade system (you’ll see
it after one round) has been very well made by Ben and it’s received a lot of
appreciation from friends & video game enthusiasts. As far as I know, Ben still
plans to work on the game and thus, there may be some changes to the game since
I worked on it last.
If you would like to hire me as a music maker, please reconsider your decision.
